I am being prompted for a company ID. What is it?
The first time you access the MantaNow site from a PC, you will be prompted for your company ID. Your company ID was e-mailed to the contact person at your company. The company ID is saved as a cookie on the PC, so you will not have to enter it again unless you delete your cookies, or your copy of Internet Explorer is set up to not allow cookies. <TOP>

I am being prompted for a user ID. What is it?
You will be prompted for a user ID only if you are taking the training via MantaNow, our online training site, or if your training administrator installed the optional Manta Student Administration Software. In either case, it is your administrator's job to assign user IDs. Your training administrator is also responsible for assigning your password, and can look up your password for you if you forget it. <TOP>

Why am I getting the message "The product you selected is currently beling used by the maximum number of licensed users" when I am the only one using the Manta training?
The Manta software uses counters in policing license levels. When you enter a course, the Manta software increments a counter, and then decrements that counter when you exit from the course. If your computer is turned off while you are in a course, the counter is not decremented as it should be. The next time you or someone else attempts to take a course, the Manta software will consider the course already in use. You can correct this problem by running the Repair maintenance function. Maintenance functions are described in the Getting Started pamphlet. <TOP>

I don't have access to the machine from which the Manta courseware was installed. Is there a way to perform a repair operation from my PC?
You can perform a manual repair operation by deleting all files from the TEMP directory underneath the Manta directory (the directory in which the courseware is installed). Before doing this, however, be sure that no other students are using the Manta courseware. <TOP>

I can't find my installation instructions. Where can I get a copy?
The installation instructions can be downloaded by clicking here. The file you will receive is in Adobe Acrobat format (PDF). <TOP>

Why isn't the Student Administration Software compatible with the current version of Sun's Java Plug-In?
The Student Administration Software is implemented as an applet, which saves student statistics in a file. As of release 1.4.2_04 of the Java Plug-In, Sun no longer allows an applet to save information in a file. <TOP>
