What is Google Checkout?

Google Checkout makes online shopping quick and easy! Buy items from stores across the web, in just a few steps, without having to enter your billing and shipping information each time you shop online. Here's how it works:

  • Find something you'd like to purchase from a store that accepts Google Checkout.
  • Add item(s) to the store's shopping cart.
  • When you're ready to complete your purchase, click the Google Checkout button. Log in to your account, or create one if you haven't already.
  • Review order details and click Place your order now. You're done!

After placing your order, we'll send you a confirmation email along with a receipt.

Google Checkout is free! You're only responsible for paying for your purchases, including taxes and delivery fees (if applicable) in the currency the seller uses on their website. There are no additional costs for purchasing through Google Checkout.

Is it safe for me to pay by credit card over the Internet?
Absolutely. Manta provides a safe and secure shopping environment via the Google Checkout system.

Safe - Most consumers are unaware that it is statistically safer to use your credit card over the Internet than in traditional stores and restaurants. These businesses use a multiple copy sales draft, which requires your signature. Employees then have access to not only your credit card number but your signature as well. In contrast, Internet transactions are performed electronically without multiple sales drafts, making your purchase safer.

Secure - Google utilizes the latest in encryption technology, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). This technology is compatible with Netscape Navigator version 2.0 and above, Microsoft Explorer version 3.0 and above and AOL version 3.0 and above. SSL encrypts your credit card number by transforming the data into an unreadable format. Only an authorized processor can convert this information to complete the transaction. <TOP>

I still don't want to send my credit card number over the Internet or use Google Checkout. What other options do I have?
