What is the Manta Sales Associate Program?

The Manta Sales Associate Program is for organizations that sell hardware, software, and/or services to the System i market and wish to add Manta’s complete line of System i training products to their offerings. Once you have been enrolled in the program, all you need to do is add a link like the following to your web site:

This provides a seamless link to the Manta Web Store. From the customers’ perspective, they are simply continuing deeper into your own site.  They can view courses descriptions and curriculum recommendations, and order Manta courses.  When a customer follows the link on your web site and purchases a product through the Manta Web Store, you receive a referral fee. 

The Manta Web Store keeps track of orders placed through your site and credits referral fees to your account.  Using a partner ID and password provided by Manta, you can check the status of your account. Referral fees will be paid to you monthly.

How the Program Works

• As a prospective sales associate, you will need to fill out a short registration form and submit it to Manta.
• We will draw up a sales associate agreement and send it to you for signature.
• As soon as Manta receives your signed agreement, we will set up a sales associate account that will track your sales.  You will receive a link to include in your web site, as well as a partner ID and password.  (Variations of the link graphic are available, and we will also tailor a page to your specifications.)
• You can begin selling Manta products as soon as you add the provided link to your web site.
• The actual conveyance of the license is between Manta as the licensor and the ultimate customer as the licensee.  Each licensee is registered with Manta so that we can confirm that people who call technical support are indeed licensed customers. Manta ships directly to the customer within 24 hours of when the order is received.  Our normal shipping method is second-day airfreight.
• Referral fees are based on cash receipts from customers.  Referral fees are paid on a monthly basis with settlement made not later than 30 days after the end of the month.
• Your sales staff can also take orders from your customers.  The only requirement is that, after taking the order, they enter the order in the same way the customer would using the Manta store accessed via the link on your web site.

  Referral Fee Rates

  Manta offers a graduated referral fee rate that grows with the annual sales based on your referrals.

  The referral fee on your first dollar of Manta sales is 10%.  Once you have sold $5,000 in a given year, your referral fee increases to 15%.  This continues according to the following chart:

  Annual Sales	Your Referral Fee
  $0-$5,000	10% of the sales amount
  $5,001-$10,000	15% of the amount over $5000 + $500
  $10,001-$20,000	20% of the amount over $10,000 + $1,250
  $20,001-$30,000	25% of the amount over $5000 + $3,250
  $30,001-$40,000	30% of the amount over $5000 + $5,750
  $40,001-$50,000	35% of the amount over $5000 + $8,750
  Over $50,000	40% of the amount over $50,000 + $12,250

  The year on which the referral fee levels are based depends on your contract anniversary date.  If you complete a year with over $100,000 in sales, you will automatically start the next year at the 40% maximum referral fee.

  While there are no minimum marketing requirements on your part, you are certainly welcome and encouraged to invest marketing resources into selling the Manta product line.  These efforts will undoubtedly increase your sales and therefore your referral fees.   For example, many associates are set up to do broadcast e-mails with little or no expense.  Manta provides marketing literature to partners that you can adapt for your own promotions.  In particular, we encourage our associates to promote our sales, which occur four times a year.
