Manta is pleased to announce a new series in the Manta iSeries Training Library, Introduction to the iSeries Environment. This series describes the basic skills needed to use an i5, iSeries, or AS/400 system. The series describes how to sign on, navigate the OS/400 menu structure, enter data, use commands, and perform other common tasks. As you learn the basic skills, you will also learn iSeries concepts. You will learn how to access an iSeries system using both a traditional 5250 workstation and a personal computer.

This series replaces Using an iSeries System as the prerequisite for all other Manta courses. It should be taken by anyone who will be using an iSeries system.
Like all Manta series, Introduction to the iSeries Environment is available in two ways. You can install the series on a PC or take the courses through MantaNow, Manta’s Internet-based delivery system. Prices for the series start at $494 for a one-year, single-user MantaNow license or $796 for a CD license. A companion Student Reference Guide is available for $45.
This series is available automatically to customers who have purchased the entire iSeries Training Library, either for CD delivery with the optional maintenance plan or for MantaNow delivery. It is also available to MantaNow users of the Operations Combination Pack and the System Administration and Operations Super Combination Pack.
