Overview

Whether you are a new or an experienced systems administrator, you will want to learn about IBM Systems Director.

This seminar shows how IBM Systems Director 6.1, IBM's strategic platform management solution, takes a giant leap from where IBM Director 5.20 was, and shows how it helps you manage your data center regardless of your previous IBM Director experience. This seminar walks through the new web-based user interface, and shows how you can manage Power Systems, System x, BladeCenters, and System z. Learn how IBM Systems Director can monitor the health and status of your systems, run life-cycle tasks on those systems, or even run automations based on events that are triggered from problems. Learn how to manage physical and virtual environments across Power System and System x platforms easier, along with managing AIX, Windows, IBM i, and Linux operating systems right from IBM Systems Director. In addition, you will learn how to manage configuration, updates (firmware and operating system), remote access, and even the energy usage of your systems.
